It finally feels like spring out there after a very long winter. We even had snow on the fishing opener.
This year I’ve donated a small relief print to the Small Art for Big Hearts fundraiser for the Bemidji Food Shelf. The event will be held on June 1st at the Sandford Convention Center from 6-8 pm. Should be a great time and one of those rare opportunities to purchase original art for $25 and help hungry people at the same time. Sounds like a fun.
I also have two paintings included in the annual “North of the 45th” exhibit at the Devos Art Museum in Marquette, Michigan. The museum is part of the Northern Michigan University. They are have a big reception for the show on June 7 from 6-8 pm, with the juror speaking at 6 pm and music provided by the Door Cats. Here’s one of my paintings for the show, called Winter 20:
